SIKHISM: THE GURU NANAK, THE FIRST SIKH GURU    **Sikhism** is a monotheistic religion that originated in the Punjab region of South Asia, primarily in what is now India and Pakistan, in the late 15th century. It was founded by Guru Nanak Dev Ji (1469–1539) and developed further by the ten subsequent Sikh Gurus. The core teachings of Sikhism revolve around the belief in one God, equality, selfless service, and devotion to the community. ### Key Concepts of Sikhism: 1. **One God (Waheguru)**:    Sikhism teaches that there is one, formless, and eternal God who is the creator, sustainer, and destroyer of the universe. God is both transcendent and immanent, meaning God is beyond human understanding but also present within all creation. 2. **The Gurus**:    Sikhism believes in a line of ten spiritual leaders, called **Gurus**, who guided the Sikh community and provided teachings to lead a righteous and fulfilling life. Guru Nanak was the first Guru, and Gu...

RAMACHARITRAMANAS A POEM BY TULSIDAS  The **Ramcharitmanas** is one of the most important and revered texts in Hinduism, written by the 16th-century saint-poet **Tulsidas**. It is a retelling of the ancient Indian epic **Ramayana**, which narrates the life, virtues, and adventures of **Lord Rama**, an incarnation of the god Vishnu. Tulsidas composed the Ramcharitmanas in **Awadhi**, a dialect of Hindi, making it more accessible to the common people of northern India at the time, as opposed to the original Sanskrit version of the Ramayana attributed to the sage **Valmiki**. ### Structure and Content: The Ramcharitmanas is divided into **seven Kands** (books or sections), each of which deals with different stages of Lord Rama’s life: 1. **Bal Kand**: The childhood and birth of Lord Rama, his marriage to Sita, and his early life in Ayodhya. 2. **Ayodhya Kand**: The exile of Lord Rama to the forest, the banishment of Sita, and the events leading to his departure from the kingdom. 3. **...

You are not merely the ego, mind, or body, but something far deeper, an awareness or consciousness that transcends all forms. Meditation & Mindfulness : Practicing mindfulness and meditation allows you to observe your thoughts, emotions, and reactions without identification. This helps you disidentify from the ego and connect with your deeper self. Contemplative Reflection : Take time to reflect on your life, your desires, and motivations.  WHY LORD KRISHNA DIDN'T MARRIED RADHA? 1. Divine Love vs. Earthly Love In Hindu tradition, Radha and Krishna's relationship symbolizes the ultimate union of the individual soul (Atman) with the Supreme (Brahman). Radha represents the soul's intense yearning and devotion for the divine, while Krishna is the divine that the soul longs to unite with. This love is not of a physical or material nature but represents a spiritual and metaphysical connection that goes beyond worldly attachments, such as marriage. 2. Krishna's Role as a Divine Incarnation Krishna's purpose on Earth was not to engage in earthly relationships in the way humans do but to fulfill his divine mission, which involved guiding the souls toward liberation (moksha). Marrying Radha would have been a humanized version of their divine connection, which could limit the cosmic and spiritual significance of their love. Krishna's relationships with the gopis (milkmaids) in Vrindavan, and especially with...

Arjuna was declared the winner, and Draupadi chose him as her husband.  Arjuna returned home with Draupadi, saying, "Mother, I've brought something." Kunti, without seeing Draupadi, replied, "Share whatever you've got with your brothers."  This unintentional statement led to Draupadi's marriage to all 5 Pandavas.  Draupadi agreed to Draupadi's marriage to all 5 Pandavas.
