 THOUGHTS FROM BHAGVAD GITA: Karma



The law of cause and effect, where every action, thought and word has a consequence. The idea of Karma is based on the following principles:

Every action has results. When we do good or bad action later it will be performed upon us accordingly.

Cause and Effect: Karma is the manifestation of the law of cause and effect in a person’s life.

Free will: Individuals have the power to choose their actions and therefore, their Karma.

Reincarnation: Accumulated karma from one life can influence the next reincarnation.

Balance: The goal is to achieve balance in karma by eliminating bad karma and accumulating good karma.

Karma can be either:

Good Karma: Results from positive actions and generates favorable consequences.

Bad Karma: Results from negative actions and generates unfavorable consequences.
